AI Research
Advanced AI research tackling the most complex, high-stakes challenges in security, intelligence, and systems design.
About the Lab
Some challenges require more than a standard AI approach. Section 9 AI Lab was created to work on the most demanding, high-stakes AI problems in security, national defence, fraud intelligence, and complex systems analysis.
Section 9 AI Lab operates at the frontier where AI meets the real-world complexity of criminal networks, financial crime, national security, and adversarial systems. The lab develops AI tools and methodologies that can handle ambiguity, deception, and scale, precisely the conditions under which conventional systems fail.
Working closely with security agencies, financial crime units, and government partners across the Caribbean, Section 9 AI Lab translates advanced AI research into operational tools that protect people and institutions.
Research Domains
AI models for threat detection, pattern recognition, and intelligence analysis supporting national and regional security bodies.
Advanced fraud detection, money laundering pattern recognition, and transaction monitoring systems for financial regulators and institutions.
AI frameworks for modelling and predicting behaviour in complex, adaptive systems including criminal networks and supply chains.
Studying how AI systems fail under adversarial conditions and building more robust, resilient AI for high-stakes deployments.
Government agencies, financial institutions, and security bodies interested in AI collaboration are welcome to get in touch.
