The Instrument
Most boards hear about AI twice a year, in a slide sandwiched between cyber and audit. The scorecard replaces that with six dimensions, scored each quarter, debated as a standing item, and recorded in the minutes.
It gives the chair a single page that answers the question every director quietly carries: are we actually on top of this? And because it produces a dated, scored record, it doubles as evidence of oversight when a regulator, an insurer, or a litigant asks what the board knew and when.

Board AI Build
Halfway through the programme, laptops open. Each director builds a working AI assistant on a redacted board pack: asking it for the numbers behind a variance, then testing it with questions they already know the answers to. No code, no jargon, and nobody left behind.
The effect is permanent. A board that has built cannot be bluffed, by a vendor or by its own management. Challenge quality in the boardroom changes that afternoon.
